I think part of the reason why it didn't sell was due to the patterns on the scale; the milling added (significantly) to the cost. A flat titanium with no added milling (like the Sage) would probably sell quite well, particularly now that high-end EDC is popular. I think the simple flat scales would complement it quite well for being a "gentlemans" knife.
+1 for a plain titanium Chaparral. And you know what ? It'd be the perfect handle material to introduce a Magnacut blade in the lineup :smiling-heart-eyes

All the Chaparrals are great knives. I wouldn't expect Spyderco to revisit the titanium Chaparral. Maybe folks could convince an aftermarket scale maker to make Ti scales for the lightweight?

Great idea! There are awesome Ti scales available for the UKPK, that completely change the character of the piece, so why not the Chap?

I actually wanted to make the "stealth" Ti one in the US with a large pivot and the US Dollar sign on the pivot like the one in Atlas Shrugged.

Yes! Thanks for posting, cjk, this is where I learned of the VaporPuffin site. Long wait times because custom work, but the workmanship is outstanding. They carry a few items in stock, but as soon as I saw what’s available in their full menu…

Only marginally related, but does anyone know if there will be a restock of the RN Chap? I've gifted two and would love to pick up a couple more if/when they can be had again.

I've also been looking to pick up one of these and interested in what anyone has to say. I grabbed a LW Chap recently and now I want the RN even more than I already did.

Hi Sethwm,

Probably not. They were quite expensive and sold poorly until we disco'd them and dropped the price.

They're probably around if you are looking for one. the "Stealth" model we made with different depths of triangles (.007 difference in depth) was supposed to be the first one, but it was so hard to make that we introduced a CF one first. It was my favorite. then we made two versions of the stepped Tit, with and without the blue tint.

I actually wanted to make the "stealth" Ti one in the US with a large pivot and the US Dollar sign on the pivot like the one in Atlas Shrugged. I guess "You can't always get what you want".

I would pay $1000.00 for this knife.
