Fake Smock ?

Buddy just got this off eBay. He paid $56 for it after waiting two months to get it . Any thoughts ? MG2

Smock counterfeits have been around for about a year.

My thoughts too . I compared shots and my own Smock and area around the the flipper area appear to be off . Yes it was sold as new . MG2

That's way too cheap for a new one, and too bad for your friend. I hope he can return it, but after two months it might not be possible.

Oh yes this is a fake. The sticker on the box is a giveaway but the CF is even more. They don't really respect the distinct lines of the design aswell. You can see on the top of the handle that everything is kinda rounded instead of having clear angles.

Finally able to do a comparison, definitely a fake . Scales were off , flipper was shaped wrong , and instead of layered CF it was shiny CF . MG2

If I were to guess, a Smock won't ever be found cheap, even on the secondary market
