It looks like a genuine Alox Cadet (not a Pioneer) modded with a genuine Dragonfly blade.

Yep, that is a mod, so not a fake in the sense of a counterfeit designed to deceive the buyer. Not sure how they can sell a mod a "new" since to doing the mod makes the knife "used" in a sense.

I'm in agreement with you JR, on the whole "new" part, if it's two knives disassembled to a degree - and then reassembled to make one, but hey...

I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with selling a mod like this as 'new', so long as all of the parts are from new knives, the work is professionally executed, and there is full disclosure as to what 'new' means in this context. Listing such an item as 'New (Other)' would be be within eBay's specification, and is fairly common. The problem I see with this particular listing is that the seller claims it's new while the edge on the Dragonfly blade is obviously used.
