Help identifying a PM Gen 1

#1

Post by ThomC »

Hey folks,

I'd just like your input on this knife. Sold as a Gen 1 PM, the seller has good reputation, and I checked the Spydie archives and it looks okay.
My main concern is the steel name being awfully close to the scale.
TIA

Yeah I had a look at a few YT videos and it looks real enough. The chamfering and overall fit and finish is not something you'd find on a copy.
I disassembled it and there also was the date stamp on the tang.

So all is good, nice! Enjoy your PM, it is a nice piece of knife-history and has excellent qualities. Nowadays many people only know the generation 2 and forgot the predecessor.
