Can someone help me figure out if this knife is authentic? Please check out the images. I can take images of specific spots as needed. Check the images at this link.

I am new to this forum, if there are instructions somewhere on a better way to share images I would be happy to follow those instructions.

Hi, CCE:
Welcome to our forum. The Spin does have known counterfeits, but it's difficult to tell by your images. Can you take some pictures that show the whole knife? You can also reach out to our Warranty & Repair team for assistance. You can find more information here, https://www.spyderco.com/counterfeit-statement/.

We hope you enjoy your time with us.

Kristi

I decided to also add a picture of it taken apart, in case that helps.
So this link has ALL the images of the Spin C86PET

The knife was an unexpected gift. I am very careful about what I buy. Several years ago I was not educated and I did purchase some counterfeit knives, but I have learned my lesson. But, I don't often buy Spyderco, which is why I am asking for help on this one. I would not want to clean it up and sell it on or give it away until I know if it is authentic or not.

Hi, CCE:
I would have to lean towards it being a counterfeit. The blade markings don't look correct. It can be a challenge to authenticate through images, so your best bet may be to send the knife into our Warranty & Repair department for evaluation. Once they can see the knife in-hand, they can give you an absolute answer.

Thanks, much and good luck!

Thank you for taking the time to look Kristi, I appreciate it.
I believe it is very likely a fake too. My finances are very limited due to health issues. I will just put this knife aside for now. If and when I can afford to send it in for inspection I will deal with it then. Just the doubt about it means that I will not be selling it or even gifting it on to anyone else.
