New here. Just received a new PM-2 with the blade marked 52100 as the steel. Anyone know about this? I have never seen it before.

Welcome to the forum, what do you want to know, 52100 has been used on a number of models, first was the mule, then military, PM2, Manix2 etc. It's a great steel, easy to sharpen, gets super sharp and seems to hold a working edge for some time. It will patina if not cared for.
Happy to be part of this great forum and group of down to earth spyderco addicts, Thanks Sal and gang.

Are you unaware of 52100 as a steel, or do you doubt the steel is truly 52100? If the former, prepare to be impressed.
