Is my Delica Fake?

#1

Post by Dl984syw »

I just got this Delica off of Amazon from "The Roost Sports" they seem to have decent reviews, but I just want an opinion on whether it's real. I'm not sure how the barcode or the opening hole is supposed to look. I know I can send it in to Spyderco to be authenticated, but I want to be able to return it if necessary before I have it too long to do so. Spyderco knives are awesome, but the amount of fakes out there has me nervous.

The hole having those lines are normal. IIRC, only sprint runs have clean one.

From the gleam of the blade steel, it seems to be real VG10. Not very sure because the lighting doesn’t show much. It should have something like orange peel running parallel to the blade length. Is the grind line on spine parallel or across the length?
