That's the stock photo that all the dealers used to advertise the knife. So yes, it looks real.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

If you buy from Amazon, buy from Amazon, not one of their vendors. Although there are some Spyderco dealers on Amazon; Outiftter Country is one that comes to mind. I was always told that when you buy directly from Amazon, they get the items directly from the manufacturer.

To avoid all doubt, buy from a reputable Spyderco dealer such as GP Knives, Knifeworks, Knife Center, Blade HQ, etc.
