Hi there. Just got an email from a LightTake Representative ("Joyce Luo") wanting to send me a Knockoff PM2 for review on my YouTube Channel.

You might have your legal team reach out. Ugh. Thanks for everything you all do!

I know the temptation (reviewing gets expensive, and free knives to review sounds great!), but even putting aside the major ethical issue of stolen designs, I'd hate to steer my viewers towards anything unsafe, inconsistent or sub-par in construction and service. I'd feel like a huge jerk if a counterfeit I recommended broke and hurt somebody I recommended it to.

Then again, I'm hearing great things about that hot new counterfeit super-steel, "Surgical Stainless". Maybe it's time for a PM2 Sprint Run? :D

Sometimes I wonder about some of the new members that pop up here asking if their knife is real or not, if those are cloners asking us to point out all the details they could improve on.

That wouldn't surprise me at all.

I think you might be onto something. "Oh man, that's a terrible knockoff right there. The real ones all have "CAUTION DO NOT PURCHASE THIS AWFUL CHINESE CLONE" written on the blade above "Taichung". Get your money back, buddy"
