Where there's an evil will there's an evil way.

People just need to shop from dealers they trust. Same reason you go to the hospital for organ transplants rather than minivans in dark alleys.

I would never bought that chinese fakes, but You have to know what is going on in "Copyland" to avoid a scam.

*shakes my head*

FRN is now replicable, which means that they have enough money for dies.

This is ominous. Many of those fakes could easily fool me. An I'm sure there will be people trying to sell those as the real thing :(

It may not be FRN, it may be something more suited to milling, or they may omit the liners and cast the the scales in something more suited to open molds or stamping. The picture may also be a deception on their part, the knife may not really look quite that good. It wouldn't be the first time Ali has used a real Spyderco knife and its packaging to illustrate an ad for one of their fakes.

I just stumbled upon a review:

Like Deacon said, it may not be FRN... But it sure looks like it from the pics...and now a video.

Very interesting, thank you for sharing. The major differences I see that could be used to identify would be the logo etching vs stamping and the "FRN" crispness. This surely is ominous though.

Horrible! I only buy from listed dealers from the spyderco list. May not save but at least I know it's real.
