I'm scared now...

A place to list and reference all Spyderco counterfeits, clones, and replicas that are found. Anything that isn't a legitimate Spyderco fits in this area.

But seriously. What are some telltail signs to look for?
Sometimes it's really hard to spot details in a picture.

Number one, don't buy from a Chinese site.

Number two, if on eBay buy from someone who only sells new knives, and make sure they have a wide variety of them.

Don't buy second hand except from someone you know.

Thanks.
I already do (don't do) all of those things. So I feel a little better.
Also, when shopping on ebay I shy away from listings that don't have a complete description or make staements like, "look at the pictures" or "ask question" without adequate descriptions.

Just that looking at all the fake Spydercos makes the TC concerned about buying knives he hasn't handled himself.

Hope I didn't de-rail a thread. Just trying to get some tips on how to AVOID purchasing a fake.
I guess this thread is more about reporting fakes.
Pretty sure I don't have any (Spydercos at least. I have gotten burned with other modified or otherwise not completely geniune knives online).
The title may be misleading.
What "I'm scared" of is getting a fake Spydie.
Seems to be a lot of them out there.

If you buy from reputable dealers you will be fine... even most purchases on Ebay are fine, but definitely do your homework before laying out the money.
