Hello All:
I'm new to the forum and glad to be here. I have a new Delica 4 that I got on eBay. It's sharp as ****! But, after seeing how good the fakes are, seems it would take an expert to know the difference. If I post a pics can you opine on whether fake or not?
Thank you very much.

Hi all, new member here looking at buying my first Spyderco. Getting married soon, and I want to get my groomsmen quality knives as gifts for being in the wedding.
I found a Para 2 on eBay that looks good, but I'm no expert. Other than the clip (which the seller claims to have swapped out for black) it looks pretty real to me.
Here it is:

It's listed at $100 new condition, and I think it's a great deal. If I like it, I'll be buying 6-7 more for my groomsmen, so if I can save some $$$, it's going to add up.

Hi, all

Purchased a Delica FRN on Amazon for $68 (seems to be a going rate); seems to be a reputable seller, however, still have some doubts. Particularly, since all connecting screws have somewhat dome-shaped tops. I see that in all Delica pix they are flat-tops.

Can someone confirm it is a fake - I have Prime and will send it back.

EBay, at least for common popular blades, is not a good idea. If it’s unique unusual knife it’s okay because the Chinese wouldnt bother to counterfeit it. Amazon is just as bad.

Hi, I bought a Delica off of amazon, but the insert looks different than the ones I've seen online. It's on glossy paper not plain paper. The screws also all have a swirl pattern on them on the non-torq head side, you can see it a little bit, but I was unable to really pick that up on my camera well. I can borrow a buddy's camera that's better than mine and take pics of it if that's important. Does it look real? Should I just return it to amazon and get one from a more reputable seller to be on the safe side? Thanks for your help :)

I spotted this jewel on eBay and inquired if it’s a genuine Spyderco or a reproduction. I knew it was fake, but the POS seller assured me it’s a brand new genuine Spyderco, so I reported it to eBay as a counterfeit. He only has 2 for sale, but unfortunately he already sold 2. He dropped the price recently from $208 to $166 when Fireflys went on sale at a couple of online retailers. His location is about an hour drive for me and I briefly contemplated offering to buy both if he’d meet me and allow me to see them first, and then introduce him to a genuine Louisville Slugger. (Just kidding)

I bought a paramilitary 2 from Amazon and I'm pretty sure it is a fake based on the info from https://youtu.be/Nys5lBn4GY0. Can anyone help me confirm from the pictures or I will answer questions. The real tell possibly is that the barcode label on the box looks nothing like a real label. This knife has only one liner cutout instead of two. It has a sharp G10 edge instead of smooth by the linerlock. It has a sharp curve instead of rounded in the G10 by the cutout for the Spydy hole in the frame. Also, just like in the video, the foam box insert is much thinner and can see through it. The box insert notes also have several typos.

Here is the barcode label that was on the box for the paramilitary 2 I bought from on Amazon from a vendor called Defender Outdoors, LLC who has 98% positive reviews and quite a few of them.

I contacted the vendor - Defender Outdoors - about the fake and they said the item they sent to Amazon to send to me was a genuine Spyderco knife but that Amazon mixes inventories with other vendors and so i may have got a fake one from another vendor's inventory. Like someone else said about a fake Spyderco they saw in a display case at Cabelas, it's not enough to shop at a verified licensed reputable Spyderco dealer; you have to know how to spot fakes because even these dealers evidently end up selling them sometimes. Ridiculous.

Just got a replacement for the fake paramilitary 2 and the differences are so obvious once you put the two up next to each other and start comparing. The real one's G10 scales are much courser and the camo pattern on the fake doesn't extend around to the corners of the G10. Of course the metal liner on the real one has two cutouts instead of the one on the fake. Places that are sharp on the fake are rounded and smooth on the real one. The jimping is much more aggressive on the real one. The box had an insert with typos all over it. The cushion stuff in the box on the real one was much thicker and not see thru like the fake and didn't fit the whole bottom of the box like the fake. And of course the barcode label on the box didn't look anything like a real one. Amazing. Unfortunately though, even though the new one Amazon sent me was a real one, it had a chipped metal liner. So, have to send that one back too. Buying from BladeHQ now instead.

This seller is adamant his stock are genuine, that he buys from a vendor and has certificates. Could anyone more experienced than me have a look and see what they think please?

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, and I wanted to ask about an item I found here:
https://www.olx.pl/oferta/noz-spyderco- ... 0c377ae77a

The description says that this is an OEM-licenced product, made in Hongkong.

I have no way of telling if this is fake or not, but I was hoping you guys might be able to help.

I would be most grateful for any advice / opinions.
