Does anyone know why this Delica 4 Wave has this odd logo and not the Emerson patent number?
Have I been tricked? I reached out to the seller and they assured me they get all their knives directly from spyderco.

Re: Weird logo on Delica 4 wave
Dear Blade Boy:
Welcome to the Spyderco Forum.
Your knife is legit. The patent for the Emerson Opening Feature, aka "wave," expired a while ago. Since it is no longer an active parent, we are no longer engraving the patent number on blades with that feature. The "weird logo" you're referring to is the designer's mark for Sal Glesser, who, along with his wife Gail, founded Spyderco. Most of Spyderco's early signature models were designed by Sal, so we've been recognizing that by including his mark on them.
Stay safe,
Mike
