Well that's interesting. I've been thinking about getting a Spyderco auto. This looks like a good one to me! :)

It's an exclusive. I wonder how long they'll last.

First time poster here. Hello everyone.

Secondly, I've been waiting to find the right spyderco and jumped on the Techno 2 yesterday. Now this today, which I couldn't resist and also picked up. Not much info out there on them though.

It does look like a great shape. I never really looked too hard at the Embassy. I'll be looking at it real close when I receive my order. :D

Super tempting - can any of y'all who have one (or have had one) share thoughts? I've never had an auto but been eyeing several non-spydies, and the idea of keeping it in the family is strongly appealing. It's a bit more than I've spent on a knife before (though not by a ton, say 20%), so just trying to make this impulse buy feel more responsible. Couldn't find a lot of buz about it on the forum historically either, which I find a little strange? Anyway thanks for any feedback!

Would they ship it to me here in Cali so I could keep it at home as a "paperweight" <.<

I would be interested in a manual version. Which makes me think, why don’t we see any aluminum handled folders from spyderco?

This knife shaped exactly how it is, in G10 with a compression lock and a larger hole would absolutely rock.

Oh this is nice. These won't last long. The blade shape screams "use me"

Hmmmm... I've never ordered from BladeOps before... looks like they have a 15% re-stocking fee for any returns. Has anybody ordered from them before and know if this is true? Kind of a turn-off from buying from them.

I've ordered fair number of knives from them without any issues. Don't know about the re-stocking fee since I've not returned any of the knives I bought. :)

Has the mechanism for the Embassy been updated at all?

I like the action on my (new) Autonomy 2 quite a bit better than the action on my (old) Embassy.

Anyone know?
