I saw KnifeCenter was accepting preorders for it. I thought this was in the early stages of development/concept. Also I saw Kristi had sent out a message on here they photos should not have been released earlier this year and it sounded like this was a long way off.

Anyone have any updates?

Hopefully, it is more resilient and durable than the original. My original has a bunch of lock play that Spyderco can't fix due to no parts being available.

Secretly

I'm hoping this becomes the official knife for the military's new "Space Corps"

Funny how spyderco mentions the autonomy 2 as being perfect for astronaughts
Hmmmm

I've had one on preorder for months!!
Can't wait either

I dunno, on one hand (no pun intended) opening a knife while in a space suit, even with a generous thumb hole, is probably tedious at best so an automatic makes sense. On the other hand, these knives fire with authority, I could see one flying out of your hand and out into space for the rest of time. I still feel like a fixed blade is a better option.

It's awesome but it also, a little heavy and difficult to use with your left hand.

On the plus side, the action is amazingly scary and the LC200N blade won't corrode in almost any case. The blade is like a slightly larger version of the Mule which I absolutely love. I'm only disappointed because I want to replace my left hand carry knife which is currently a ZT 0566CF assisted flipped which is around the same weight or less.

I'll see if I can work on my left hand action as I am definitely happy with this knife. :)

3.5" blade, or 3.61 inches?
