Tibo,
The Bi-Fold is not discontinued, but it was delayed. We're in the process of retooling for manufacturing it here in the U.S. I don't have an ETA at this point as we are still refining the details.

I believe they were going to make it in another country but customs didn't want them to import it, so that caused a big delay as now they have to find someone here in the US to make it. (just to throw a bit more meat on the story)

There's a spring that kicks the other half out.

Is there any news on the Bi-fold? There are not restrictions on any knives in my country (ok, belt-buckle knives and other hiden knives are illegal, but Bali, OTF and Autos are OK) so I´d love to get an Embassy and a Bi-Fold.

Is there any chance Spyderco ships these knives to countries where they´re legal, or do I have to get them over US LEO friends?

EDIT: Sorry, just found the answer myself. Will get it from US friends when available. Woz

Any word on this?
The war is coming to the streets of America and if you are not keeping and bearing and practicing with your arms then you will be helpless and you will be the victim of evil.

Is the spring the issue? Could the Bi-Fold design work without a spring assist?

I could deploy a car hood (bonnet?) with my well trained digits. Why should I be punished because some people need a spring? Could a springless Bi-Fold be possible?

The Bi-Fold interests me. I want to see a legal (NC. US.) version for me.
Not really all that slick ;)
