I appreciate the replies and thanks to Trout for taking the time and effort with the pics and demonstration. I like the straightforward, utilitarian approach and that was really helpful. I appreciate the video and finding somebody legit is what I wanted but probably more slick than I am really looking for. Thanks again!

Balisongs are really useful and utilitarian tools when used as such. They have a side benefit of being fun fidget objects too, I was sitting here doing my swing open and closed just repeating it. It looks cool going fast but it is just the same motion over and over and definitely not approaching anything close to what is in the video. I can make my opening and closing motion "look cool" by waving my arm around to most people, but that lady would laugh at me in the video. :-|| :winking-tongue

Of note in my steps: My sample's latch gets stuck on the G10 (someone else had noted this on their sample) and wont unlatch if the blade edge is facing out from my palm. If yours does unlatch with the edge out from palm reliably, then the first 2 pics and the step of rotating to put the safe handle in my fingers is not needed technically.
You can squeeze to unlatch and already be in position like picture 3 in my other post.

Mine finally got to me today. It is nice, my pics were horrible so those will have to wait.

Edit(07/26/2022):
And I'm sending this one back. I was looking at the very uneven edge grind and debating on what I wanted to do with it, then I noticed the blade seemed short. Compared to my S30V sample, it is shorter and not nearly as tall. Its like the tip broke off and they reground the whole edge to fix it, taking lots of metal off to do so. Since I cant add metal back on it needs to go back I guess. I could get the calipers out and measure the differences at home, but this might get sent back on my way home today.

Not all that surprisingly, it seems like this must've been a very small run. I can't seem to find one online anywhere, and only saw it in stock once or twice. Anybody have any leads on one?

Sorry Bradley, this one isn't looking good for you.
The Knife Distributor also did the CF Cruwear Dragonfly2. I thought more of those were going to pop up, but they never did.
I think this might be some combo of a small Run + shipping to dealers that aren't the usual Spyderco dealers or dealers that don't have an online presence.
I guess it's possible there was a delay though. They were relocating to a new building back in July and originally said the SmallFly2's were going to ship in the Fall. They haven't been active on social media since. Maybe the new building pushed back their schedule and we'll still see them pop up. :thinking I wouldn't bet on that though.

I appreciate the reply Budda. I figured I wouldn't see these come up again. Maybe I'll get lucky though! Thanks again.

I got mine in hand finally. Glad to have purchased it, but I do miss the og smallfly blade shape. I’m sure this one is more utilitarian, but far less symmetrical and has a different weight to it. Still happy with my purchase! Don’t hesitate to buy one if you’re on the fence.
