I don't know whether it's discontinued or not but i did a pretty thorough search and only came up with one In Stk for $349.

Likely just out of stock. Golden seems to be in a bit of catch up mode right now.

At least, I hope they're not discontinued. We don't normally find out about discontinued models until they release the annual list.

It would be a real shame. It's one of the most solid knives out there.

@Michael Janich, can you point me to some dealers in the EU that have some Autonomys in stock?

I believe that Spyderco's understanding of the U.S. Federal Switchblade Law--and it's interpretation/enforcement by U.S. Customs--is if you can't import something legally, you can't export it either. As such, I do not believe we ship Autonomies outside the U.S.--even to Spyderco dealers/distributors. If any EU dealers are offering them, we don't have visibility on that, since they didn't get them directly from us.

Stay safe,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I am not sure what's going on then, because Microtech and Benchmade have authorized dealers in many EU countries and their autos are readily available here from licensed dealers. Buck 110 autos are also available here along with those of many companies like Gerber, Shrade, etc.

I have been a Spyderco fan for a while now and would like to be able to buy one of the Autonomys.

Thank you.

Spyderco has always taken an extremely conservative and literal interpretation of the U.S. 1958 Federal Switchblade Act. That Act expressly prohibits the introduction, or manufacture for introduction, into interstate commerce of switchblade knives, and for other purposes. “Interstate commerce” means commerce (i.e. buying, selling and trading) between any of the 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., any of the U.S. Territories (e.g. Guam or American Samoa), and “any place outside thereof,” referring to all foreign countries.

While other knife manufacturers have their own, more liberal, interpretations of the Act, Spyderco has taken a literal interpretation of the wording. Hence, no export of Autonomy knives outside the U.S.

Thank you @Accutronman. This is very disappointing and now I'll have to rethink some things.

Awesome! I'm looking for an orange/satin version but maybe this is a sign that they're restocking.

I just got an orange h1 autonomy in the mail today from knifeworks. Still showing stock available. This one has been on my list forever and they always seem to be out of stock. I was actually looking for the new autonomy 2 in combo edge to complete that collection and stumbled upon the h1. It's a sweet blade! Highly recommend it!
:bug-red-white I collect them all, and use them all! I use the excuse, "I'm trying to find the perfect one", but in reality, they are all perfect in their own way!
