Spine mods for function and repair

Got these two off eBay. The Delica was tipped and the Rescue 93mm had gouging and rust on the blade. Overall I think I did them justice and breathed some life back into them. The Rescue with the finger groves is going to my Fire fighting brother. I think the Delica may find a home with someone who needs a 2” edge to be legal….

The rescue saved its first person last night! Flipped car extrication with a seat belt tensioner that needed to be cut.

A few guys at the station are now looking into Spyderco Rescues.. I laughed because he said they want them like this one. I told him that would be some work but possible if they want to wait. Might push them to Byrd line as it’s easier to find. I’m sure this one will get some abuse now that he’s carried it on shift.

Can’t they buy them cheaper from spyderco themselves via the opfocus program or does that not count for firemen?

I’m sure they could, but Spyderco doesn’t make this model anymore. They could probably do Atlantic salts. I’m not sure how well H1 or H2 responds to modifications like this.
