Love these scales Jimmy. Has inspired me to look at some RC Bladeworks scales for the Smock and definitely inspired my PM2 RIT Dye job.

Page 4!
Had Spyderco shipped the Smock wearing similar scales, I would have purchased one despite my dislike of the blade notch. Thankfully for my wallet, they shipped it with their standard Amish suit.

Yours looks fantastic and I love seeing it in your photos.
Thank you! The blade notch isn't so bad once you get used to it, I don't think I'd be willing to give up the button lock to get rid of it.
You are correct about the notch and button lock. So much so,I now have two Smocks. :flushed

Spyderco owes you for the all the sales your photo's have generated. RC Bladeworks as well, since at least one will be wearing their scales.

Glad I could help! I'm still holding out for an exclusive steel I like before getting my second smock. I like S30V just fine but I really love the character of tool steel and would prefer one in K390, M4, or something similar.

Your dang right! I have a page dedicated to RC Bladeworks just for some Smock scales. They need to at least send Jimmy a thank you card.

I’m waiting for an exclusive myself. A tool steel version would round out the Smocks for me . Wish I had paid attention to some past variants that are not too pricey for my tastes. Dan

3rds on another exclusive Smock! Love the knife, but the variations are a bit hard to come by. Would love to see a K390, or something else amazingly cool! 15v? Magnacut? Wishful Thinking??
