This is becoming more of a walk down memory lane thing for me.

Back in June 2013 Forum member GSO came up with brilliant idea for a thread called “I’ll see your Spyderco and raise you another”.

I became the self-appointed list keeper for a while; It got a lot more professional and clearer after IG-88 took on the list. It ran from June 22 2013 to about September 2017.
Its down fall was that most of us had our photos linked to image hosting sites. One such site had a collapse and another so called free site announce that was no longer free. Then held their customers images hostage and then deleted them if the ransom was not paid.

That wiped out about half the images in the thread, almost brings a tear to my eyes just thinking about it.

Anyway: These were my contributions to GSO’s thread.

And you guys that were part of that thread and see one of my photos and say “ hang on; I posted a photo with that knife). Yeah; your right, I had a few backups photos ready to go and someone was usually quicker than me to post a reply.

I’ve still got them all, but won’t be adding to the collection.
Retired from work, no longer have the knife and toy budget.

It's weird; the harder you work the more money you to get. But retirement doesn’t seem to work that way. No matter how hard you retire

My parents and my Girlfriends parents are going true the same thing.
But you will get used to it and get collecting again. Be it on a differend pace like it seems you did. ( Again amazing collection)
Many members here are retired and they buy much more then me.

Having trouble adjusting to a new financial situation is normal after retirement.
My parents and my Girlfriends parents are going true the same thing.
But you will get used to it and get collecting again. Be it on a differend pace like it seems you did. ( Again amazing collection)
Many members here are retired and they buy much more then me.

No mate it’s all is good.
Working over time was the play money.
But time to grow up and become an adult now. But I have long resisted doing so.
Time for a change. It’s been fun.

Which ones are your favourite users?

A dragonfly lives in my pocket, but that was a Chapparal for a long time. But the dragonfly worked better so it returned. The Para-military was right size for work, in the last few years the Kapara has become a favourite.
But there have been many different favourites over the years.

I can't recall a list.. On the other hand, i remember the color of my first two wheeled bicycle but not exactly what i did last weekend so there's that :)
Anyhow i will PM you a list, i have a sneaking suspicion it's not 100% complete but i don't have the energy right now to do a inventory :)

Quitting collecting doesn't work like that: once a collector, always a collector

You may not have the funds from your active life but you have the time and that's a luxury as well.

For myself is the other way around, I don't have the time or energy left.

That's why I end up buying stuff now (books, movies, knives, sharpeners, games, consoles, headphones and amps and other things I don't want to mention ) hoping there will be time to enjoy these later...
