Stretch Picture Thread!

#1

Post by Wandering_About »

Couldn't find one of these so decided to start a thread for it. The Stretch is my favorite Spydie alongside the Paramilitary 2.

A couple of my own pics to start.

First is my favorite version of the Stretch so far, the straight spine K390. It now has a silver pocket clip though.

Image

VG-10 Stretch, my first one. Somehow lucked into a collector's number.
Image

And both together.
Image

Gonna have to get some better pictures of these but this is a start at least.

Because desolate places allow us to breathe. And most people don't even know they're out of breath.

I have yet to try a straight spine Stretch. Only one I have is the Stretch 2 in ZDP-189

I think this is my favorite picture I've taken of my K390 Stretch so far.

Image

I have to agree, 100% one of the best Spyderco designs ever. Really a perfect EDC for me.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

It has a few miles on it, it was my grandfather's before it became mine. Not sure when he bought it, don't think it's an antique or super old but it has been around quite a while I guess (my grandpa passed away over 20 years ago).

I was gifted a Babco years ago and have add ons for the jaws . I used it for a Native picture as a prop. Got a chuckle seeing your picture . MG2

I'd love to see a few photos of your HAP40/SUS410 Stretch(es) -- particularly with some nice edge patina!

My only Stretch. It is one of my top two carried knives.

I definitely want to try a straight spine version. :bug-red-white

Great comparison pics for this thread! Are you hunting a 2 with traditional point?

Yes , I will eventually pick up a 2 traditional point in VG10 . Since the CF model is is ZDP189, I will go with this variation. At this time I’m don’t want a laminated steel . Thank you Jeff . Dan
