Can't say i have any rare and unusual ones (of course it's a question of defining rare and unusual) i have some that were made in <500 + a couple of boo-bos like Centofante with the 'Foriegn patents' stamped clip and a Delica with 'AUS8A' stamp.

I have all of those except for the very first one on your list. I think that FlatIron model goes all the way back to the "IRONSTONE" days am I correct?

About the only rare one I've got. Besides some tough to get Sprints/Exclusives

1st gen SE Endura. Which has become a great camping and landscape working knife.

I have the PE version of that knife! I wish I had not thrown the box away. Back then IIRC
they were black and white. I have been a happy Spyderco customer a long time. I bought
it when it was new...I think it was about 30 dollars!

I would have to agree.. :) Is it a custom job? Can't remember ever seeing one of those.

It was done at the factory and I remember seeing this very same knife and design being featured in an old catalog. I like to think this one could have been that very sample.

Was it a sprint? What year was it in the catalog?

No, nothing like that. I recall it being used to demonstrate the engraving possibilities at the factory. I went through some pdf's but couldn't find anything. I'll try to go through my paper versions this weekend to see if I can find it again. It might also have been a promotional flyer instead of an actual catalog.

Thats really cool!

It looks like the pattern used on one of their old style boxes. Someone posted a picture of the box on here recently.

Edit: Found it rather quickly. In the "Older box is better" thread. The post is from Evil D. (Quoted for reference)

Can't recall ever seeing a black box with a web on it.

It's really more gray than black. With your extensive collection I'm sure you have loads of these.

Well, I did get curious and sifted through all my printed Spyderco stuff, but couldn't find any catalog or flyer to back up my claim. I still think I saw this design as an example of the engraving services at Spyderco HQ. Perhaps it was online somewhere. Regardless, I love this Chinese Folder it's the favorite from my flock of Chinese Folders.
