Spyders under a microscope

Postby bgcameron » Sat Mar 30, 2019 1:20 pm

I decided to take a look at some steel under an old jeweler's microscope. These knives are all close to new with factory edges.

Mantra 2, M4
This is my favourite. I love the champagne hue of this steel.

Nice. Thanks!

Those are some interesting images. Curious, I just grabbed a printer's glass off my desk and put my iphone up to it. Surprisingly (to me), I got a pretty good shot of the knife that was in my pocket. When polishing an edge, I use stronger magnifiers to watch the work progress. I can't wait to see if I can get a picture with that setup. Thanks!

That's right! I've had the Taichung Spydie as a Steam profile pic and Windows account pic for a long time now :p
