Delica/Lil' Matriarch PUNISHER

#1

Post by BOOMER52 »

I finally got some time to map the PUNISHER half skull onto the profile of this smaller knife. I already have it for the Endura, Para2, Manix 2 and Yojimbo 2. It required a smaller .0394" end mill to machine the inlay and pocket but came out perfect...

I didn't have a Manix 2 on hand to mount the scales to for glamour shots... but here are the scales themselves...

CAD render of a set in mirrored colors...

These are the machined scales just freshly oiled...
Image
These are the presentation side of a pair I did not too long ago... straight off the CNC and not finished or oiled...

Those would look amazing on a Manix with the black DLC blade...

Nice work!

I would love to see a similar design only instead of the punisher skull, the profile/outline of half a wolf's face... That would be awesome. : )

Once again, very nice work! I would love to see you collaborate with Spyderco in some of your designs. Maybe a sprint-run of sorts?

Donut...

That's a negative... no CAD/CAM files and too complex looking for me to write the g-code myself nor do I have the tooling. Also... I do not believe it is a machined part... I believe it is injection molded...

Nope- if you've got all the bits and $7- you don't :)

Unfortunately, that's not how mine broke. The thin, "long" piece of plastic that stops the spring from moving around is what broke.

That sounds promising.

Aha: That's even easier:

1.Remove remainder of the long plastic bit.
2.Dress surface flat.
3.Take 2mm brass or steel pin of same length as original plastic bit + 3mm length.
4.Take 2mm drill and drill into existing cage by 3mm.
5.Glue metal pin into cage.
6.????????
7.Profit.
;)
