I definitely prefer the newer versions for actual use. I just thought it would be fun to buy older versions of some of my favourite knives :D

I had (still have it may be) the chance to get the D'fly black 1st generation.
I would love to find the D'fly 1 in white ! :D

I found the mantra handle awful until I sanded the flipper off. The handle is night and day more comfy now.

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that. That's why the handle looks so roomy. Ugh, maybe it's still not the knife for me. I need to handle one.

I must say Knifes are looking really very royal.

Terzuola's Starmate and Double Bevel.





When I ordered the Double Bevel, I thought it would be larger.
Instead, it is a handy, slim, medium sized folder.

Here is a picture with a Gayle Bradley 2 for comparison.
I thought the GB2 would be smaller, but it is larger than I expected.



This side is presented so that the thumb hole cutouts can be observed.
The Starmate has a generous cutout and the Double Bevel is quite adequate.
The Bradley has no cutout. I'm getting better at closing it, but resent having to deal with it.
On the other hand, I must confess that while every Spyderco knife I received
has been sharp from the factory, the GB2 was the sharpest of all.

Totally agreed. I remember the first time when I saw it and thought I wouldn't possibly have any practical reason to carry it. :rolleyes:
