Dan
I was actually hoping of getting a Mantra 2 and having it ground down like the Nilakka, so having a bit smaller blade isn't really a deal breaker, but I do wish the blade stock was thicker. I'm not sure that edge can be ground as thin since the blade is only 3mm vs. the 4.5mm of the Nilakka.

Amazing how much thinner the liners got on the "2".
And no lanyard tube.

Those are some really good pictures of the Bradleys.

I would like to see a Citizen compared to a Police,
or to an Endura with which I am most familiar,
please anyone. (Seems I'm stuck in the '90s.)

So which do you prefer? I can't say much since I haven't handled the 2 yet but from pics I think I'm leaning towards the original.

Man, I am so torn on these knives. Seems like every new pic I see sways my opinion one way or the other. I've gotten to where I want more knives to NOT have a choil, which is a big change for me, but I'm super picky about how that gets accomplished and I really like how the Mantras get it done. I'm really liking blades that have a full edge because they give you a better edge to handle ratio, but for example I don't like the way the Bradley 2 has that gap of blade at the nose of the handle where there's just nothing..no edge, no choil, just wasted space. The Mantras do a much better job maximizing edge space in this way. But, overall I'm starting to get the feeling that these knives are a bit smaller than I'd like them to be. I've really grown to want about 3.5 inches of blade, and more so 3.5 inches of edge if possible. With this 52100 Military coming (eventually) I feel like the Mantra would end up collecting dust once I get it in my hands.

Totally different feel than the GB1. The combination of the choil and how the blade leans forward from the handle gives the GB1 a feeling of supreme utility and cutting power in hand, which defined the Bradley Folder for me. It's been my favorite friend for many large projects, and I don't think that will change anytime soon.

The GB2 looks and feels awesome, but is a more traditional and comparatively straight forward design. Its weight and width feels more proportional to the size of the knife than the GB1 (which is arguably a pocket brick), and the reduced price for such a premium fit and finish is outstanding. There is something about the bump in the handle right where the Spyderhole is on the GB2 that my thumb finds awkward. This might find a place in my rotation, just not where the GB1 goes. If it was a brother instead a replacement I'd probably like it even more. The GB2 is a great addition to the family, but not a "refined" GB1 IMHO.

I love my Mantra2 and it hasn't left my pocket since I got it!

I think it is going to come down to personal preference on blade shape, size and handle ergonomics. The lock ups on all three are solid. The steels are very similar. The quality is very similar too. The Spyderco I will always keep is some version of the Dragonfly. The others, well, they'll have to fight it out in the use tests.

Not everyone on this forum (or maybe I'm the only one)
can recognize all the different and marvelous knives made by Spyderco.
So, once again, thank you to contributors to this thread,
specially the ones who identify the knives in the photographs.

Yeah I don't think everyone is reading my original post, but it's all good. It's easy enough to quote someone and ask for model names if necessary.

The blade have a thicker look on the D-Fly 1 but also look the same if you compare the lock bar of both.
