I agree. I should probably scour the BST forums for a nice beater to use.

Thank you. :)

I Just lost my manix 2 down a septic tank.

Not happy.

I was cutting zip ties carefully so I didn't damage my edge and it fell in there in slow motion.

No I'm not going to try get it back.

If they suck it up with the Pumper truck when they empty it the home owner said he'd get it back to me.

It's a large septic tank for a block of trailer houses I have very little hope they will find it. I know the truck that Sucks it out and that manix won't slow it down a bit.

Sucks sucks sucks.

And yuck.

That is such a loss! Hope they will find it someday.
Are you going to replace it with an identical m2? :)

I'm undecided. Between another manix, a ffg endura, or the new native.

What Sucks is that was my only ffg plane edge spyderco.

Im kinda lost until I save up for a new one. Whatever it may be.

So, you never used one of the S110V Manixes?

Didn't I see a Manix 2 XL in your picture thread?

Here are my current manix's, some crappy pics I have on my phone for now.

Of all the folders I've ever had, I think my favorite is my $100 S110V manix, for a pure user anyway. I beat it up daily and it just keeps going. I cut a lot of rubber/soft plastic hose that has wet concrete going through it and the edge holds up well even cutting through rubber that has sand and muck stuck to the inside of it.

Manix 2 cf s90v
Manix 2 lw S110V
Manix 2 XL cf s90v
Manix 2 XL polished cf s90v

Bummer about the Manix in the septic tank. I guess dragging a magnet around would have been out of the question because it sounds like the tank was too big, and not a very fun thing to do anyway

I have a question about the stone or acid wash finish on the 154CM Manixes -- mainly, which ones got that finish? I've only seen it on the pilot run knives, but I think I've seen people speak as though the regular run had it too. I haven't seen anything written about it in the online catalog or spydiewiki. Anybody have any info on this?

Man there are just some things I couldn't get past, and knowing my knife was down in a tank full of human excrement is definitely on that list. There's no amount of washing and disinfecting that could get it out of my mind. In the future you may wanna look into wrist loop style lanyards if you're gonna be working around open holes of crap lol.

Well, that BD1 Manix lightweight isn't the most expensive manix, so that's a plus.

Someone's gonna find it in ten years or so, and then you can do a review...
