I took these shots a couple of days ago after my new Cranberry Salsa arrived. It's a cool LBK--I like the compression lock, cobra hood, and wide handle. The anodized aluminum handles are flawless, so I won't be carrying this one. Anyway, I thought you guys might like some pictures. :)

I'd love to see a G10 version of this knife brought back.

Beautiful pics, GS! :D
Yeah, a G-10 variation would be nice. I remember well when the Salsa first came out in the market. I thought, "That's a weird little knife." Nowadays, I kind of kick myself for not getting the Ti version. :o

Great shots!

I think the Salsa may have been one of my first knives with the Compression-lock... can't remember exactly. But, sad to say, it's probably also my personal poorest example of that lock as well... it travels all the way across the blade to the other handle and has massive play. Tried rebuilding it not long ago, but to no avail. Now just sits in a drawer. :(

I'm sorry about your Salsa's lock, SpeedHoles.

You know that guy on blade forums who makes aftermarket standoffs? I wonder if he can make you a slightly larger stop pin.

+1 on this. I talked about maybe doing a new version of the salsa with G10 in the Older spydies updated materials thread.

Hmm, no I don't know who off hand, but it is a great idea. Do you by chance remember the username there? I've often though of asking around some small local machine shops about doing a larger dia. stop pin. I have a small Terzuola that has play with the liner lock as well, which could be solved with that too!

I'd love a Cranberry....I've got a blue one and a Ti one, so the heartache won't be too bad :)

Very interesting folder. Cobra hood, reduced size, clip and compression lock. I have to get one of these as an alternative to my DF2.
Thanks for sharing those nice shots with us.
Regards.

This with a deeper wire clip.
