With the weather being rather mild the last few weeks I've had several opportunities to go hiking. Many of you have probably seen some of my photos but I thought that I would post a few more here. Enjoy! :)

Very nice pictures! I really like the "in-the-wild" pics of Spydies. By the way, did you carry all eight knives on you to the photo shoot? If so, kudos man! :D That's a lot of steel to cart around, lol.

No, not all eight at once. This was probably from at least three different outings. I'd say that I take about four to five with me at a time.

That certainly makes sense. I usually carry three or four when I go out for photo ops, but any more than that becomes too cumbersome. :o

Beautiful photoghaps. Specially the hanging Worker. I also enjoy wandering in the woods.

Great pics. I live in a semi arid climate so your pics which appear to be in a temperate rain forest are delightful. Keep 'em comin'. :)

Very cool thread. I need to take some time and get out on a hike! :)

It's been raining for three days now so I didn't get out very much this weekend, but I did manage to get a few new pics.





I cut my hiking short because the wind and saturated ground are not a good combination in the woods. On my way home I actually had to clear trees in two separate locations that had fallen across the road behind me after I had driven into the forest. Here's a pic of the swollen Cispus River.



And some blacktail deer.
