Custom Chaparral 1

#1

Post by Holland »

Made a trade on bladeforums that saw me parting with my Dodo and a MT9 in exchange for a chaparral1 with custom work done for Shepard custom concealment! He just finished the knife and sent me pictures of the finished product! it turned out exactly how i wanted it. couldn't be happier and can't wait to hold it in person :D

Wow, that is super cool! My Chaparral 1 is my most carried knife, and I'd want a backup because I really do like the carbon fiber finish, but that looks really exceptional. The blue with orange accents is really cool!

I have to ask...do you drive a black VW hatchback? I saw one on Crowchild about a month ago with a big Spyderco decal on the back window (I definitely need one for my truck).

How is the knife in person? Also, what's the name of the outfit that did that? I'd totally be down with commissioning a set of scales with a pattern of the same ilk for my new Swick, though in green with yellow liners (In fact the redneck in me thinks John Deere green and yellow would be ideal).

It looks nice. Sounds like a pretty heavy trade, though!

Holland,

That is a very nice looking knife! Hopefully the Edmonton Oilers colors don't get you in trouble in Calgary... HaHa!

Yes, I am a fellow Albertan. Grew up in central Alberta cheering for the Oilers and now work in Calgary. I have to be careful where I fly my Oilers colors... HaHa!

Never thought of that...I suppose I could always get mine in red and orange :) That said though, sadly I'm not very optimistic about the next few years regarding the Flames. I think I'll stick with John Deere green and yellow, or barring that Kubota orange.
