I tried a small mod on my Salt 1 last year - I took out the clip and bolt, and substituted in a stainless shackle and Maratac gate clip. This made it very convenient to clip to my pack and also to hang from my belt loop while on the water.

I ended up putting the factory clip back on it, though...

Gorgeous pics, Wouter. You mind if I save one to my phone for a wallpaper?

Five plus years of EDC with Salt 1 SE and it has been a real champ. Not a flashy or tacicool knife but an everyday work horse.

I love my Salt and I can't wait to put it thru hard use at the beach in a few weeks. If testing goes well, I will be getting a tasman partner and possibly a saver salt as well.

Jazz, your Pac Salt looks awesome. Whats up with the jimping? Looks like the older style "fin" jimping found on the early Paras, ZDP Stretch, etc.

Thank you sir! Yes, it's the old style jimping. I have 2 Salt 1's like that, too.

- best wishes, Jazz.
