Great thread!
I have other knives with similar pictures (but this is a Spyderco forum so rather keep it local), only recently got my P2 and it will see the same use.
I will have to go dig for my old Salt1. It has been slightly re-grounded, it is in the safe, but I am far from home, so it will have to wait. Added the thread to my subscriptions so I dont forget.

Okay Xavier, you win the internets for the day. Your pictures have to be the best composed I have seen.xavierdoc wrote:Bushcraft:
I love this one, there is just so much going on, yet it looks so spontaneous, but I know you're not going to get a 5 y.o. kid to do that twice.
Awesome job

ZDP delica. Use it everday at work.
Currently in pieces because i wanted to fully take it apart to clean it (was getting a bit gritty) but 2 of the 4 torx were stripped, luckily i got them out. So now it sits in pieces waiting for my parts kit to come in and then be re-assembled and lubed. Using a FFG grey delica until i get the kit in.

Probably the one that has seen the most use is my Pro Culinaire K09 Paring Knife. I used it every day in the kitchen for a decade or more. It never saw the inside of the dishwasher - always cleaned by hand...
Then it was relegated to my workshop where I use it for fine cuts on woodworking projects, trimming edges of veneer, etc. It works better than an exacto knife. And I keep it razor sharp down to just below 30 degrees.

Then my other Spyderco M4 Military with a month of use on site, yes my knives work hard, the G10 on the Military has started smoothing out around the edges after a month of non stop EDC. I have a P2, Custom Gareth Bull and a LEXK Burger knife that should see the same treatment the coming months.

Thanks! H1 is a good alloy. Does require more sharpening, but it performs as expexted. Holds up excellent to hard environments. It is a care free steel, as long as you keep it sharp. Want to give serrated H1 a try when funds allow.Donut wrote:Nice patina! How are you liking H1?

Yes it does, but for now I have the Para2, Burger EXK and Custom Gareth Bull to use like that
All my knives get used, from the Sebenza, Customs to a good old SAK. :D
I forgot to ad, the G10 on the military started to become smooth around the corners.
now I miss the military.....and cant play with it till I get back home (on site now until further notice), but it should be cool to see how these other knives perform and look after this work.
