Obtained a grail for me yesterday! A well used one that has been around the world between its previous owners. Nothing wrong with a user. Approx 10degree per side edge with a VERY small microbevel at 2o degrees per side.

Yes, but I did start stropping with 14u paste then 6u and finally at 3u. I do find that starting the stropping at 14u preps the bevel better for the finer pastes and you can spend less time on each grit.

100% correct - but you need to strop at 1µ Boron Carbide - trust me, you will never look back!!!

It gives the best combo of refined, yet toothy you can imagine!!

I have to agree with this as well. The boron carbide gives steel one heck of a bite compared to diamond or CBN.

This is the edge on a kershaw skyline guided and a ladybug done with a V setup, I went 120, 180, 400, 800, 1200, 2000 then polish. The edge has a 600 grit stropped micro bevel.

reflecting this off a surface cause my phone desnt capture edges well. It only captures flat V's. This edge has a sliiight convex
