I've put this in the show your mods thread. But I think it's the best mod I've done yet so I'm showing off by giving it its own thread :D

How are you texturing the scales?

Mine are similar but not that regimented.

Dremel?

I love your mod. I love green. Very well done. You Do have steady hand, I can't do such things with a Dremel. I must use a small wheel attachment on my 2x72 belt grinder.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The G10 was about three times the thickness of the original scales so the grooves could go pretty deep.
I do have a steady(ish) hand but it was close a couple of times. I was also covered in dust when finished (yes I wear a mask ;) )

Thanks Don, I posted it in the show your mods thread first and gave you a name check there. I hadn't thought of doing a backspacer until I saw your Tenacious. This is my first Persistence and I actually prefer it to the Tenacious, I like the size better.

Nice work ! I'm new here at SF and here's my first attempt at scale a mod ..
I'm not new at being a knife junkie ,)
Image
I used hand files and sandpaper with a bit of oil to blend the finish ..
More to come soon ..

BE WELL .. GH

Marcus definitely has some skillz. I just got a Custom Digi Camo Manix 2 in the mail today from his feebay store, and I LOVE it. It is SO much better than I imagined. He slimmed down the contour of the knife and all I can say is ****, the ergonomics of the manix were great before, but I can honestly say that I think he improved the overall feel/handle of the knife. I don't know whether to consider it a knife or a piece of beautiful art. Both!
