Nice C22. I've always wanted one ever since I first saw it. That was back in '97 and I was still working my first job flipping burgers, so needless to say it was out of my price range at the time. Picked up a Q model instead, but I always liked the blue Ti pivot and screws on the Walker. Congrats on the find!

Thanks jabba, I couldn't let this one pass. Price was more than decent with $227 as most Klotzli Walkers are way beyond my budget.
Keep your eyes open and maybe you'll find your C22...or, better yet, it finds you ;)

What an awesome collection!

I have a small humble CF Spydie collection myself. I will aspire to reach what you have. Although some of those are very hard to find. Nice to have a goal. :)

I saw the pictures, and my literal words were holy [insert word here]. Amazing, and great job on the collection. I think its even more beautiful/amazing, and awesome because you have a theme, and a love for a certain "thing" [for some its steel/colors/shapes/the handle materials/locking mechnisms/ theories/ or just the dang company haha], and of course your main is carbon fiber handles. And I just love it, especially due to the intricate look of the carbon fiber is really beautiful, and the variety of ways spyderco produces them. Coming from [back in my highschool days], car background, I am kind of hoping/ wondering if spyderco will take advantage of Japanese made materials, and go with a colored carbon fiber? You will often see colored carbon fiber [eg. Blue] on a blue car or a black car etc to give it accent [i mean it saves weight, but if it has color, its usually for show purposes] these are some examples of blue carbon fiber

here is a white carbon fiber, which I think can look quite elegant if done right [btw the picture of the ring with the CF inlay, I have that actual ring, just in black CF lol]

This last one is kind of cheesy looking, and I don't believe the makers did a great job on the weave patterning nor used a better quality CF to procure these products/pictures. So take it with a grain of salt, as to give you an idea of the possibilities that are out there.

Some additions to the collection, CF's and Manix2. I think its time to update the Manix mania as well and see if they all fit in one pic.

Great knives, the Para CF is a work of art. Thanks for watching guys!

Found my old Catcherman!

#33

Post by R@y »

I've found this old Catcherman in a box I had stored away. It was purchased by me over a decade ago, carried it for a few months untill the clipe broke. If I'm not mistaken this was my very first Spydie purchase, got it with a subscription (knife-discount) on a fishing magazine that also offered the yellow one. IIRC I paid about $70 shipped for it, lost the box somehow but who cares?

Some random pics of a knife from way back...when clipits broke :(

I think you are refering to the Spyderco Zowada C56CF.
