not as obvious as most of the mods here, but i made the spyderhole bigger on my endura! its now inbetween the millie and the para2
i used a diamond taper and a diamond file to enlarge the hole
i think it matches the aesthetics of the endura more and it's easier to open now :D

Thanks Boomer, scales are on for my son's birthday gift. VG 10 Delica with black modded grips and a bit of edge polishing is still needed prior to sending it off next month. Also, a lanyard will be made out of black 550 cord. Will post finished project prior to shipping.

Sage4 with kirinite, lava flow scales

I made these scales for my Sage4 yesterday.

The blade, bolsters, liners, lockbar, back spacer have been stonewashed.

Jack

PS edit: I wish I could get this stuff in a matched set pattern. However, it seems the pattern changes a little even when you sand it thinner. The pattern isn't perfectly vertical. I do like this material though.

NOTE: It is VERY soft and it's SO easy to cut too much before you know it. If anyone tries it be careful, expecially if you use a Dremel (I do) or other power tools. I keep my Dremel very slow and I use the finest grit accessory I have in whatever accessory I use.

AAARRRGGHH !!! I am so frustrated trying to get images to appear in my posts.
I'm a mid 50's ol'phart, and I just can't figure out how to get full size images to magicaly show up.
Anyone feel like helping out a computer illiterate knife guy how would love to share some of his mods with you guy's?
I have even spent 6 months of knife buying $ on a good camera, and now I'm almost in tears with frustration, going round and round and not getting any results.
Thanks, Dan.

Dan... from your photobucket image page there is a 'Links to share this photo' box. It will offer 4 options... Email & IM, Direct, HTML, and IMG. You want the IMG option. Click the mouse in the title rectangle and it will AUTO COPY the address info into your buffer... go to your forum post and paste (Ctrl V) this copied info into the body of your post where you want it to appear. From here it's a wash, rinse, repeat activity for the number of images you are posting.

It's helpful to have both the forum Window and the photobucket Window open on the desktop so you can copy/paste more easily.

Hope that helps...

Endura 4 Damascus

#1296

Post by Barman »

First post here. :)
I've been lurking around here for references for years, thought I'd sign up...

Always wanted an EDC Damascus blade so picked up the blue jigged bone Endura but found it a bit weighty and with no clip it was cumbersome. Beautiful knife but just wanted lighter so swapped the blade with another. The picture will explain.

The downside: I lost one of the screws and can't for the life of me find it. So I ordered a new satin clip from SFO along with an extra set of screws (6 total), lol.
Who is SFO?
