And I'm not trying to be clever...Shank is my last name. I love that wood and that set came out so well. I can't wait to install them.
Looks nice! Where are you from? I knew some Shanks, always thought it was a unique name.
We had a Forward Operations Base named Shank in Afghanistan.
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

I was browsing through my Spydie-safe, and found some oldies... these two I got ages ago for users (factory seconds both) so I did a little mod to the AUS-6 one. The tip was really shallow (I guess thats why it was a second in the first place) so I did a regrind. Then dipped it to some ferroclorid, and ta-daa. a Wharnie SPOT :D

Nex I'll make a bikini-sheath for it, here in the middle of the process:

SORRY about the crappy pics! MObile lense was dirty, as I see now..

Both cut very well, almost as good as my Swick 1.

A set of custom scales having the wire pocket clip modification. I was told the wire clip, barrel bolt and screw are available from W&R at Spyderco... that's second hand info though. I do not know that for certain.

The black G10 Native 5 was the prototype... these were just machined for a customer...

Hex honeycomb gray G10 Lil'Matriarch. New addition for me is the gimping. All my previous Spyderco scales lacked gimping but I've started to use smaller end mills that make it possible.

I'm not certain just what size clip or which model... it was sent to me with the knife and I just performed the mod. Might you be able to tell the size if I attach a better photo of the knife/clip...? This is the same wire clip on the prototype machined set of scales.

Thanks for the compliment... BUT I'm more of a slightly loose nut behind the green START button on the CNC machine...

I'll continue with a crappy mobile phone pic... I promise, some day I'll take out my better camera, and shoot some better pics, and upload them and share.

I decided the cracks in the wood scales I made were bugging me so I tried some homemade blue jean micarta. Since it's so light and smaller now I went clipless for now to see if I like carrying it in my back pocket. I still can't believe how much uneccesary material was on this thing!
