Some macro shot of sage I

#1

Post by jzmtl »

I really had no idea what the CF scale is like on sage I till I had one in hand, it's just had to imagine it from the vague description.

So here's some close up of what the CF looks like, it's like there's no epoxy on the top layer of CF, just the carbon fiber twills.

Nice pics! The cf on the Sage is my favorite type.
We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

Nice shots, I would of thought the strands would appear to be bound in some kind of matrix from the pressure/heat process.

Very impressive photowork! I'm tempted to give it a try myself, on my Bob T Slipit.

Thank you for all your kind comments. I actually suck at lighting usually, that was a lucky break with just the right amount/angle of nature sunlight. :)

Have a few others, but they are the traditional smooth type and don't look nearly as impressive as the 3D structure of sage to be honest.

No longer have a t-mag I'm afraid, it wasn't getting used at all so I sold it.

That is really cool. I have checked this fiber under de microscope and it is amazing. Check the nishijin CF (on the latest Lum folder) as well. Great stuff!
