Don't see these very often. This one had been sitting in the store since '02. No box, no record of it on the store computer. Great condition, though.

This is definitely one of the best looking Spyderco's, but I didn't find it overly usable. The opening hole was SMALL and a little hard to get to, but it did have a great feel in the hand.

Yet another that I let slip away...

It's definitely not as easy to use as my newer Spyders, but I like to think of it like a classic car; what it lacks in refinement it makes up for in style. I wish they used micarta like this again, it has a great feel for a handle material.

I can't disagree on style or the use of Micarta. I still love my Khalsa's and my old Calypso Jr. in micarta. I still regret selling my fullsize Calypso in plain edge. That was a very classy knife.

If you have the style, a certain lack of usability is excusable. And it does have the style.

I have one. #665. Nice knife, good feel to it. Stuck it my pocket once or twice. The dagger-like profile of the blade along with the upper false edge concerned me enough about legal carry that it now lives in it's original box.

Hmm, never thought about possible legality. Better keep a low profile.

Oooh, the VG10 version...sweet. I have to agree with the idea that the style definitely makes up for whatever possible demerits there might be for ease of opening and the like. It's just such a great looking blade.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Very nice. Maybe change up the handle a little and you have a Spyderco Chief! Love the blade shape.
