Brian's Wee Selection

Post by buglerbilly »

NOT being a very good photographer in my opinion (it's my problem not the equipment) I thought I'd show some of my collection hopefully with the better shots of the knives! ;)

Firstly, my Kopa collection to-date............a couple more are enroute and a couple of others are still being sought!

Image

Top to bottom: -

Kopa Cocobolo
Kopa Turquoise
Kopa Black Quince
Kopa Apple Coral
Kopa Giraffe Bone
Kopa 3 Pearl
Kopa Stacked Wood
Kopa Pacific Blue
Kopa Black Micarta x 3 (I forgot I had one, ordered a second and got a third thru a US mate as a gift!!! One goes to Daniel (aka Datan) for his collection and the third will be put up for disposal or barter)

I love the look of Black Micarta especially in shots, the grain is NOT obvious when held in the hand unless in bright light/sunlight............. :D

Reverse shot showing the clips................

Criss-cross shots.............

Hahaha Kopaholics unite !!! :D

Apparently I am partly to blame for this one as well

Brian's Kopa collection is enviable :) He's got a few nice examples in there, but I am still trying to convince him that he should ..... no... he NEEDS to EDC at least one to really appreciate the engineering as well as the beauty :D

As I have explained to Daniel elsewhere, my office already thinks I'm eccentric or nuts, depending on who you talk to! :D

The Kiwi caused more than one to lurch back in shock, and when I took the White Goddard in the office I thought some of them were going to have a heart attack, either that or run screaming from the office.............. ;)

Sheeple are such weak, pathetic creatures at times!

Being an office wallah, I have limited opportunities to EDC much beyond my Bug, SAK and CLB Keycom, this is my office cluster...........

Image

Image

..............everything I need for the office! The SAK is for personal grooming, i.e. keep nails clean/short, toothpick for lunchtime and tweezers for whatever.
The Bug and the Keycom cut stuff...............altho the Bug is there more for the effect! ;)

Brian,
IMHO you did the most challenging thing – taking group pictures. I like your close ups, especially Kopas with micarta handles. Micarta has some kind of cozy “denim” look. I also like your Giraffe Bone Kopa – not much grain and a lot of color.
Thank you for the treat.
Mark.

My on-going re-shoot/new shots of my Spydie collection...........still expanding!!! :p
Two of my favourite designs, DODO's and KARAMBIT's.......................first up, the group shot............

Image

Image

KARAMBIT's on their own, the numbered one is an occasional User and was bought as such (Used by the previous Owner). The only time I took it in the office one of the Lady's that works for me on various Projects swooned BUT I'm NOT sure if that was the knife or ME, my sheer handsomeness after having my beard trimmed..........!!! :D  ;)

Dodo's, lovely little knives, more please in more colours!!!! ;)

It took me well over a year to get my first pair together (the Blues) and then another 6 months to complete the set with the Blacks but Sod's Law and I ended up with three spare Dodo's...............

I've since bartered two for other knives and given one away to one of our knife buddy's................. ;)

Great knives for such a small knife design.

nice shots. I picked up a Karambit in a trade and I have to say it's quite the intimidating knife!

DYAD's through the generations..........C44 Dyad at the Top, C39 Dyad Jr the next three FRN version at the start with two Micarta versions underneath, one of which is a User, and finally C112 Micro Dyads, Jigged Bone at the start and Black Pearl at the bottom............love 'em all but would love to see the C44 repeated in Natural G10 or G11............ :D

How nice are they !!! :D

Great Dyads there Brian. I really like the micarta ones, and mid size they are about right in proportions as well as useability :)

Anyone see the silhoutte resemblence to crocodiles/ alligators on the serrated blades ???
