No, it isn't too heavy and it feels really nice in the hand. Personally I like the original SR-1 with the full-titanium frame better, wish Lionsteel would license the spydie-hole. Lionsteel eventually manufactures the SR-1 with an aluminium frame in different colours.

Got a Manix 2 Lightweight last week and I totally adore this thing. It looks cool beyond belief and feels really comfortable. It's a bit large for me but I get the impression it will shrink with time A year ago I was still convinced a Delica was a large knife
She: Did you say pink :spyder: sprint run?! - He: Yeah. - She: Wow, wouldn't this go great with my purple Delica?! - He: ? - :D

sorry for the late reply! yeah I looked at the junglas, but wasint what I was after, its like 3 times the price for half the blade length. I'll probably pick up an esee 6 to accompany it at some point, but I really like the lite machete, the handle is awesome.phillipsted wrote:I love that tan canvas micarta on the ESEE knives, w3tnz! Did you look at both the Junglas and the Lite Machete?

Dodo and Leafstorm arrived today
Got my Dodo today along with a Leafstorm. Was on the fence for quite some time about the Leafstorm. I was aware of the pros and cons and for many ... the cons outweighed the pros. All in all, however, I am quite happy with it. The only problem I had was with the jimping on the spine... it was really sharp ... especially drawing my thumb back. A little polishing with some 1500 grit sandpaper and all is fine.
