Re: Show off your latest purchase
Found this in the mailbox this week. Most handsome knife!
And one of the sharpest knives out of box I ever experienced.

Really a nice looking knife. Too bad it's a liner lock, or I'd probably have one.Aliaspostmortem wrote:

Beatiful Hungarian Aliaspostmortem, very close to the slipjoint original

Too bad? I must say that a well made linerlock beats for instance most framelocks any day. Personally I like it. What other lock would you like to see on this knife that don't interfers with the looks?Jazz wrote:Really a nice looking knife. A mid back lock, my favorite, would suit it perfectly.

Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

I don't quite agree with you there. :) Since the original "Fejesgörbe" are slipjoints I think it would disrupt the lines of the handle with a lock cut out in the middle of the scales. This way the looks stay a little more true to the Hungarian original.Jazz wrote:Aliaspostmortem wrote:What other lock would you like to see on this knife that don't interfers with the looks?

You're very right. I'm just partial to back locks, and they do go back in time a ways. I'm actually just tired of so many liner locks on new knives, but it does help me save money.Aliaspostmortem wrote:I don't quite agree with you there. :) Since the original "Fejesgörbe" are slipjoints I think it would disrupt the lines of the handle with a lock cut out in the middle of the scales. Put my latest Cruwear PM2 in a set of Flytanium scales, lite bronze ano with deep carry clip and beadbomb, turned out perfect :)
