the 2mm thick spine and hollow grind makes this thing a laser. though it had the most obtuse grind from spyderco I've seen over forty inclusive. decided to do a redneck "zero grind" by laying it flat on the stones, sharpening away the top shoulder of the hollow grind as well as the edge. in reality this just thinned out the edge, I didn't go all the way down. the actual sharpening I lifted the spine a few degrees up. rough guess is twenty degrees inclusive.

cuts like a demon now D:

New job has me doing a lot of box cutting, figured the thin wharncliffe was the perfect candidate. also sits in my breast pocket like a pen. it's so light.
