Those J.D. Smith photos are fantastic. That knife is so much better than this photo would make me think.

Thank you, Brian!
You have pretty good chance of getting your next "holy grail".
JD Smith remains relatively affordable compare to some other knives from the same era.
Go ahead and get one while they are still available!
According to JD Spydo it may not last long :D

Smith is very well built. Fit & finish is the highest quality. I hope pictures do it justice.

It is very flattering but I would prefer to maintain my amateur status - it is easier to get away with some quality problems.

Very nice blade and pictures. It is the beauty.
I really like TZ signature.
Any bark pictures left?

I am still dreaming about black tanto like yours or even better black CE. I never considered this knife before your pictures. I need to get this knife. Your photos are amazing.
Thank you for great job.

I truly wish those zowadas were still around. The plain handle like the BM 710 and slim profile are sort of rare now in the spyderco line up. I would love to see spyderco make more simple designs like this.

Are those micarta handles?

As felly mentioned already, they are. I would say that micarta here looks similar to Persian's but a little less polished.
