Here’s the latest chop I’ve come up with for the Shaman, Bombshell style! It’s almost the exact same length now as the Bombshell but has more handle/less blade because of the finger choil. I’ve been carrying it for the last two days since I did the chop and really love the size and feel of it.

The clip is a custom one that I made for this knife before the chop, so I went ahead and used the original Shaman hole pattern.

That is SUPERB!

I love the shape you've got drawn there. Don't know if I'd have the guts to actually do it. Maybe I would if it was a cheap knife I don't care about.
If you do it, post pics!

Gotta go thin to win!! Started out thinning with diamond plates but it didn't look that good. Took it to the old 1x30 today and I must say it looks a lot better. Might go a little thinner, right now it's around 0.012" bte.

Laser thin reground CRKT Spew. Can't really measure bte but it's about 0.006" 1mm from the apex. Not good for much other than pure slicing.

Still can't decide, if this is amazing or awful. Kind of the best of both worlds. If there is such a thing.

I modded my PM2. Not a massive mod, more for more comfort in use and the fact I like micartia.

After taking it apart I polished the washers with some P7000

Just a Flytanium set, titanium backspacer and titanium clip.

Now just need to sharpen it as its got the factory edge still.

Hardly a mod, but more of a personal test.

The clip from the CPM-15V Manix 2.
Stock and shiny:

Stonewashed and more fitting to the blade finish. Not 100% the same, but better than original:

This was my first Spyderco, purchased about 2 years ago. Now I have 10 Spydies and the Para3 got moved to the back burner. Just recently I put the Flytanium scales and hardware on it with a LynchNW clip. Then did the lightning anodization. (Surprisingly easy to do) Now it's my favorite knife in my collection.

Thanks, I just recently learned how to do it. It's actually a pretty simple process. There are some good videos on YouTube that walk you through it.

Here is a mod if you don't want to spend money on those silly aftermarket lanyard tubes for the PM2...

I swapped to RGT ti scales for a M4 PM2, and discovered the flared lanyard tube does not fit into the ti scales. Instead of mangling the OEM tube, or getting an aftermarket tube, I modified the scales to fit the flared tube.

Flared ends
Image

A hair under 8mm
Image

The lanyard hole in the liners are slightly over 8mm
Image

The flared tube did not fit in the RGT ti scales, so I enlarged them by about 0.3mm to 8mm.
Image

Another option if you work with G10 or CF is to enlarge the hole slightly using a round dowel wrapped in sandpaper.

Perfect fit, no rattles.
Image

The additional 25g is not excessive, and makes it feel more substantial than a G10 PM2.
Image

I like the end result! 🍻
