Sure, the finger choil was done with a 7/8” small wheel attachment on a 2x72 grinder, roughed in at 80 grit, then 120, and finished with 220. The I used a fine triangle rod from my Sharpmaker to dress the edges of the grind to dress the edges.

It would be possible to do this with a dremel tool, but would require a fair amount of care and patience. I would rough it in with a carbide burr then finish with sanding drums if that’s what I was using.

Tero Tuff from Rips Garage. My first experience with it. I like it so far, seems to remind me of linen micarta (feels soft). I do feel that it will be pretty durable.
Skiff bearings and Lynch clip, as well.
I must say that your posts on this thread inspired me to switch the scales up, so thanks for that, Rick!
Love the Smock platform!

Very nice, I never heard of it before but after doing a quick search it sounds a lot like micarta. I also replaced the factory bearings for skiff bearings.

Hi Jimmy ! Well since it was my first scale swap ever yes ! Must say thank you for advice . Lanyard hole on button side was a tiny bit under sized , razor blade and a light ream worked fine . I did get frustrated but txted with JSumm and PStone for support and watched Nick’s Utube and then things clicked . Scales are Tertuf and has a nice grip , no fuzz . Wanted a different color and green is a favorite but wanted it not to be too green and let it develop it’s on look . Removed second detent , works fine without it much smoother feeling , nice drop and centering perfect as from factory. Overall very happy . Thank you again . Dan

Hi guys, first post, love this forum! Just picked up a Smock and have ordered a deep carry clip but in the mean time, borrowed my Caribbean Leaf Ti clip and dark screws. I really like the way it looks.
