Apollo’s picture Tale.

#1

Post by apollo »

Years ago i had a collection thread that fell silent when i had a pauze in my spyderfever.
I wanted to resurrect that thread. But since all the pictures are gone the way of the dodo because my image sharing site of those days is no longer with us, i thought its best i made a fresh start.

So here i will post pictures off all the spydies i have in my collection.
And as you could guess thx to the titel of the topic and in the words of the immortal captain Lassard of the police academy movies. Many Many wonderful Manixes will be shown and many many more will follow. :beaming-face

To Start off this topic.
Here is one of my most treasured Manixes.

Another user that has a fun story behind it.
Years ago i think it was 2015 i went on a trip with my brother and his family to the netherlands.
The place were we had our bungalow was not that far from the city our best and favorite Spyderco retailer is located. So we went on a field trip. I ended up leaving with this one as my souvenir of that trip. Time went by and i wanted to make this one even a little more special so i customized it with flytanium brass scales and a titanium cage.

Very cool. These are great photos of some great knifes. Don’t see any of them too often. You’re doing them justice. That LilTemp though, that’s most excellent.

Thank you. :grin-big eyes
Yes i must say strangely enough many people always post pictures of the most recent spydies. And since i quit collecting for a few years my collection is somewhat a bit older then everything released for the last few years. And next to that i also have a big fascination with customizing to make them even more my style. :grin-smiling-eyes

Thx Dan. That shot was a winner in the weekly contest years ago. But i hope to give it an even better picture soon since my camera back in the day was not as good as my smartphone is now. :flushed :squinting-tongue The Rubicon really is one of spyderco’s most beautiful models. It is sad they changed it up and made its second variation so “normal” it really did not fit the design. ',:-|
