H1 is good at telling it's life story in scratches

Agreed! That's one thing that I really like about H1 as far as more modern steels go. I always love the look of a good patina but never liked the idea of having to wipe down or "take care" of my pocket knife. So the scratching on the H1 (which happens very easily) along with dying the yellow FRN, (I originally dyed these scales black but after months of exposure to sun, water, chlorine etc. they've faded to this pseudo British racing green) satisfies my love of the wabi sabi aesthetic. this serrated salt dragonfly is the only knife that I need. He’s been dyed, dremeled, dropped, soaked, neglected, abused, sold, and bought back! A small, inconspicuous, basically maintenance free, but highly capable pocket knife.

Every time I “rediscover” mine (both PE and SE)
I carry one exclusively for a while and can easily get “stuck” on it being many only pocket knife. They’re actually perfect size for use in the shop (I’m an automotive technician, fancy term for mechanic )

Usually the SE. at work and the PE at home in shorts at night time….

I like them because I can get them nasty at work, spray of with brake cleaner and then wash in the sink with dawn and I have NOTHING to worry about.

Yessir! That's where I find myself. I try and convince myself that a plain edge would be good to have as well, but then I take 22 seconds to sharpen my SE on the Sharpmaker and all of the sudden I don't see where a plain edge will do something that I'm not getting right now. This is the way.

But, but, but, it can't be true. Serrated knives are SO hard to sharpen.

It's shocking how easily this serrated H1 sharpens. I was doing it with a little Lanksy triangle sharpener thing for a while, but the Sharpmaker makes it silly quick to sharpen this thing. Sal For President!

I have a couple Salts in the pocket today. A dyed Pacific and a Dragonfly.
