Came across the Henckels Miyabi Kaizen kitchen knife line and am kind of interested if anyone has any experience with them?
I hear a lot about Shun, both good and bad, and I'm not very attracted to them as far as popular higher end knives go. The Miyabi series seems like it would be a direct competitor with Shun, but I haven't run into much mention of them, I just read a few very positive reviews is all.

Re: Anyone Have Experience With A Miyabi
I don’t own one, but I have used them and used to sell them. They compare favorably to Shun. I watched a YouTube show a few weeks back that showed off a day in the life of a Miyabi factory worker - pretty cool!
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I have 2 Miyabis, the 8 inch is VG10 and the 9.5inch is SG2. Both are excellent knives, with amazing micarta handles. If you can find a good deal on one it is highly recommend. Been using both of them for years now.
